Equality Mission Uganda (EMU) is a Ugandan locally led development organization committed to promoting equality through citizen empowerment. Founded in 2019 as a grassroots movement and formally registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee in 2021, EMU works across governance, education, youth leadership, human rights, digital innovation, health transparency, gender equality and community development.
We work collaboratively with communities, public institutions, civil society organizations, academia, development partners and the private sector — placing citizens at the centre of every decision, and strengthening the collaboration required to sustain it.
As EMU continues its transition toward full NGO registration, the organization remains focused on strengthening its institutional systems, expanding strategic partnerships, and delivering community-driven programmes that outlast any single project.
